Birthdays Galore

Friday night we celebrated my dad's birthday (Apr.21), Kris's b-day (Apr 27) , and my birthday (May 3)! We had a huge BBQ with a keg and all! We invited all our friends, both our families, and some co-workers too. We way over spent on food and I made three cakes. I am mad at myself because I didn't take any pictures of the cakes, but oh well. Kris the handyman he is spent an hour building a custom tap for the keg.

People started to arrive around 7pm; so we started to grill up some brauts and hamburgers. After that it was all fun and games. Darts, karaoke, and just some good old drinking. We have Karaoke on the game cube so I wanted to get some people singing. Unfortunately it took way to much pouting and a few liquored up people to get the tunes going. I sang 3 songs to get it started then Kris and I butchered a couple of songs. After that Troy killed a couple and then got my dad to sing brick house with him. HILARIOUS!! After that the party kinda died down.

Thanks to everyone who came! It was so fun to see all of you and celebrate our birthdays.

More Cakes

Last night was the last class in Wilton Cake Decorating Course 2. Its just a small oval cake that has a basketweave pattern along the edge of the cake. Then pre-made flowers and a "colorflow" birdie on top. I think it turned out really cute but the basketweave takes so long I couldn't imagine doing it on any thing much bigger.

League Champs

Last night was Kris's bowling championships and there were 6 teams competing for the title. So Cooper and I packed up tho go hang out with the team for the night. It was so fun! Kris was bowling awesome. It was his second best week out of the season. He bowled a 202, 190 & 190! He was quite dissapointed that he could pull out another 600 series, but we were proud! After every team finished bowling they announced the Champs for this year and it was Kris's team! whenn all was said and done he ended up winning around $600! Yeah show me the MONEY. We are so proud of our team! Go "Yunnto"!

Surgery follow up

Well its only 10 a.m. and Cooper and I have been up to Primary Childrens Hospital and back. We met with Dr.Devres to have her check on the healing process and then remove the stent tube. Of course you think its going to be some big ta-do to get it removed but no. She just cut the stitch and pulled the tube out. Crap I could have done that at home! I was worried about the rash I have noticed on Coop's belly and back. She said that it was most likely from the Sulfatrim(antibiotic) that he is taking. She said he still needs to take it for 3 more days and then they will note in his file to not use that drug next time. Other than that everything has been going good as can be expected. We had a few sleepless nights, but things seem to be getting better. Someone mentioned that it could have been the loritab making him not sleep well so we quit that and sure enough last night was the most sleep I have gotten in 5 days!

SORRY Little man

I feel like the worst mommy ever! We had to take the bandages off tonight since they didn't fall off by themselves. I made sure Cooper had pain meds in his system so that it wouldn't hurt him. That idea didn't work at all!! Poor guy kept wiggling so I had to get Kris to hold him down. Yeah that just made it worse! Finally after fighting with him for 10 min I got it all off. OUCHY that doesn't look like any kind of pain I would want anyone to experience. Kris kringed and then had to leave the room. His poor little pecker is black & blue and the tip just looks raw. Not fun! Then of course then want me to put neosporin on it to help it heal and protect it from the diaper. Ha ha ha lets just say his tears hurt my heart. I have never heard him cry like that. To top it off I have to do that 3-4 a day! Hopefully its not like that every time.
Mommies be thankful your boys dont have to go throught this! It just breaks my heart, but if he didn't get it done he wouldn't have a normal life.

Cooper's Surgery

What a long day thrusday was! Primary Childrens Hopital (PCH) is where he had the surgery at. The hospital moved his surgery time around 3 times. Twice on Wednesday and once the morning of the surgery. Sorry but what a joke that is! We were walking out the door and they called to move the surgery back another hour. Anyway our check in time was at 11:30 and the surgery was scheduled at 1 pm. I was amazed at how fast that hour and half went by before I was giving him a kiss as the nurse took him away. After speaking to Dr. O who said the procedure would probably take three and half to four hours long we were ready for the wait to begin. After three hours of entertaining oursevles the nurse from the O.R. called and said everything was going well and that it was still going to be a couple more hours. BUMMER! Our butts were already getting flat at that point. So we waited, waited some more and finally at 6:30 pm the surgeon came out! YEAH everything that he wanted to get done in this surgery he got done. It took longer because his curvature in his penis was more extreme that the doctor thought. Dr.O said that he did everything they possibly could to straighten it out!! Cooper was drugged but awake when I got to got back and see him in post-op. He was starving so they gave him glucose water. He ate two of them like they were nothing! After he left post-op it was only another half hour and we were discharged. Unfortuantely it was 8:30 by the time we left and 9pm when we got home! Needless to say all of us were tired.

Seattle

I had the opporutuniy to go visit one of my best friends Abi for the weekend. She lives in Renton, Wa which is a 15 min from Seattle. It was great to see her two kids Alissa and Nathan. Its amazing how fast they grow up and get sassy. Alissa is so much like her mother it should be illegal! Nathan has got to be the fattest 7 month old I have ever seen but also the most active! It was great to also see Abi's family. I love Abi's mom Debbie! I dont think I have had enough Debbie's in my life!! Anyway after I got off the plane we went to lunch and chated then went back to her Apt. and hung out for a few hours before we went to dinner with her family! After that I was traaaashed! With the time difference of an hour I was done at 9pm Seattle time.

Saturday morning Abi actually got up at decent time. She brought Nathan with us to see Jimi Hendrix grave. It was pretty cool and she didn't realize he was buried right in Renton! After that we went back to her place to pick up Kip (Abi's boyfriend) so we could go into downtown Seattle and see the Space Needle and drive across the bridges. To be quite honest I wasn't that impressed with the Space Needle. I didn't go up to the top of it either because they charge you $26! I was more impressed with the design of the building that was right next to the space needle. Since Pike's Market was right there I convinced them to go there as well because I have heard its cool. So after hiking at least 100 stairs to the top of the market. I watched them throw a couple of fish around and then we walked throught the 3 story market place. It was awesome! All the variety of shops from flowers to antquies. On our way back we drove across a couple of bridges. One of them floats on the water and then there is a tunnel that goes underneath a neighborhood! CRAZY people if you ask me but it was cool to look at. Here is a video of them throwing a fish at Pikes Market.

Saturday night we had plans to go back into Seattle and go to Pioneer Square. There are some sweet bars and clubs there. You only have to pay one cover charge and you can get into 4 of them. It works out well if there aren't any people at one bar they are sure to be at another. I dont think I have ever had so much fun going out to dance at a club before. I danced the entire time. I seriously didn't look attractive at all by the end of the night because I was so sweaty and my hair was just a wreak! When we got home at 2:30 a.m. I passed out!!

Sunday wasn't anything special. Abi was sicker than a dog so we hugged at the apartment and her boyfriend drove me to the airport. Then a short plane ride later I got to see my hubby and baby! It was tons of fun and I am so glad I got the experience.

New Ink

So after 2 years of searching I finally found the perfect Taurus symbol. Its about the size of a half dollar and on the back of my neck. Its not super girly/ swirly and its not manly/ harsh either. Here are a couple of pics. It will look better after its healed in 4 weeks.

Un-Easter

This past weekend our family did an Easter repeat since all of our nieces were sick and our nephew was with his dad. It was great! Kris's mom bought a "lion head" bunny. Of course it was the show stealer. We had an easter egg hunt, ate yummy food, and watched Little Shop of Horrors.

I also just love this picture of Cooper because he looks so serious about reading when really he just wants to rip the magazine up!
