Easter Weekend

Our Easter was a blast! On a last minute whim we decided to drive up to Bear Lake and visit with my family for Easter. Like usual there was alot of game playing; Shrek Super Party on the Nintendo and this time we played Hand & Foot. I forgot that H & F takes three hours to play, but thats alright me and my partners always kicked butt! It was a good chance for my sister to spend some quality time with her nephew while my parents played games with Kris & I. Saturday night we decorated eggs after Cooper fell asleep. Of course I had to be the one to get dye all over my hands. My mom got Cooper some toys to play with up at their house there is a cute rattle that looks like a 50 lb weight, some teething beads, and ther the Easter Bee. I dont know if you know but apparently there is an "Easter Bee". Sunday morning we had breakfast played some more games and then headed back to Salt Lake to spend the rest of the evening with Kris's mom & sister Roxy. Unfortunately Kris's dad was out of town too and ALL of Kris's neices were sick. So it sounds like we will be having another Easter celebration this weekend with the rest of the Famila.

Dollar size baby

So today I was finally able to get the pictures off my old camera's hard drive and look at what I found! I took this on Aug. 18th which would have made Cooper almost 3 weeks old. It is the size of his body from shoulders to butt. Its really crazy now to remember how small he was. Just wanted to share the picture.

Sleeping all night

Now I consider any time after 5 am to be morning. So the past two night Cooper has slept until 4 and then he slept till 5am today!!! I hope this will be his trend from now on. I would really hope he could fall asleep at 9pm and not wake up till 9 am but I know I am dreaming on that one. He is also getting really good at holding his bottle all by his self. I also thought I would post a preview of his Easter outfit. I just loved the overalls.

A weekend away

So this last weekend we were lucky enough to be albe to fly down to vegas for the weekend. How were we able to do so is because it was a company paid "get to know your co-workers" weekend. It was awesome!! Friday was a little hectic for me. I had to pack the baby and the dog to head over to Kris's sisters house for some fun with the ladies. Amber has three girls who love Cooper! I highly doubt that there was a second when someone wasn't kissing up on him. After dropping them off I came back home Kris and I packed and then headed for the airport. We were supposed to be there three hours before the flight took off, because we were a big group. It was alright because Kris and I hung out in the bar for an hour and then we went to hang with the rest of the group till the flight took off. No one realized the plane was boarding but we were the loudest group on the plane and we were the last ones to board this tiny plane to vegas. It wasn't bad for Kris & I but my dad got kinda sick on the way down. I think it was claustraphobia issue. It was Shannon's birthday so we got the flight crew involved. Stewardess and the captian tried to get him to go up to the cockpit but he was so embarassed. By the time the flight was getting ready to land the pilot wished him another happy birthday and our group sang to him. I am sure the rest of the passangers were too happy about it but who cares we were having fun. This is the best picture Karina could manage on the plane.Saturday morning after breakfast everyone wanted to go soak up the sunshine. After standing for a while we just started walking. We stopped in front of ceasars and got some great pictures with molesting the statues. We continued walking and made it to Margaritaville and then turned around there.We were all meeting in my parents Penthouse suite for a luncheon. It was great to actually see all the people I talk too through email. Plus there was great food and good conversation. After that Kris and I went to take a nap, because we could! Most of the people we were with wanted to play in a poker tourny. I didn't play because I am not very good. I am kinda a push over so I get intimidated really easy. Instead I went to my parents suite and took a bath in the jetted tub! Oh so nice. When I was finished I went back to my room and got ready for a nice evening out. Kris and I had tickets to go see Bite! Before the show we ate some pizza and sat down to have a beer. It was a rock tribute with a vampire theme. We both really liked it. After the show we headed back to the hotel. We couldn't find anyone else so we purchased some booze and headed back to the room.

Now here is the worst part but timed perfectly. Since it was daylight savings we lost an hour of sleep instantly, but we were scheduled to have massages Sunday morning! Which was also nice for the slightly hung over. If there was anything better than that massage I dont know what it is and if you do please tell. Nothing else exciting happend. We got back on a plane and came home!

A few things

Well lets start with me this time! Tonight I took my final cake decorating class in the 1st course. I am kinda bummed that the next course doesn't start until April 1st. It will be way fun to learn how to make more flowers and borders for cakes. I know I didn't post a pic of last weeks cupcakes so here they are. Its supposed to look like cute baby feet in grass.
Ok so tonights cake was chocolate with a raspberry filling and chocolate frosting. I did cluster of hot pink roses in the center and then did hot pink and green dots around the rest of the cake.

Ok now about Cooper! Leave it to him to do the cutest stuff when we dont have a high quality camera around!!! All of the following pictures are off of my cell phone. On Monday night he was taking an evening snooze. I went to go get him up for a bath and bottle and this is what I

find. He is pulling a full on "Stink Bug!" I think its so cute but how in the world is it any kinda comfortable??

Today I went to Joann's to pick up some stuff for class and just happen to come across a pair of cheap bunny ears. Now of course I am thinking some day he is really going to hate me for this but it was just to good to pass up! Lastly the topping of our cake for the week happend just minutes before I left for class tonight. He ROLLED OVER!!! I know finally but he just kept doing it and it so funny because he hates being on his belly. So he would roll from his back to his belly and then just start getting pissed because he couldn't figure out how to roll back. Ah he is getting so big!

We are going to Vegas this weekend and leaving Cooper behind. It will be our first time away from him since he came home from the hospital. It will be way fun but interesting at the same time. I just dont know how I will react.

Crying from laughter

Now that is weekend has come and gone I am even more dissapointed that our camera was broken. I could have gotten some of the best videos of Cooper laughing. So first is our usual guarnteed gigle routine "The Superman". Except now he has been doing this knee jerk reaction of instatly bringing his hands to his mouth when he goes from standing to the superman. Its so funny to watch. So I was making him stand on my belly and I would hurry and make him fly and I swear he was whipping his hands at his face so face I was just bustin a gut laughing.
In the process of our Superman routine he started to get fussy which means he is done. So I just had him standing on my belly. It just so happens that Optimus was laying on the couch, chewing on a toy, paying absolutely no attention to Cooper. So I kept trying to get Optimus's attention. "Optimus, Optimus, Coopy wants some kisses" and then Cooper would high pitch squeal. ( thats new too) So I would repeat and then Cooper would squeal again. It was some really cute conversation!
Lastly is the biggest reason I am bummed we didn't get this on video.
Last night I had Cooper standing on the floor and I was supporting his weight behind him. Optimus of course came up and licked Cooper's spit up off his face, which Coop loves for some reason. So Cooper smiles and Optimus walks away. Originally I was trying to get Cooper to mock walk over to Kris in the kitchen, but as we kept getting closer Cooper would gigle like I was tickling him. Then I noticed he was looking at Optimus and smiling the biggest cheesiest smile ever. So I devert my original course and head for the dog. As we get closer and closer Cooper is laughing so hard I am afraid he isn't going to be able to catch his breath, but it is the cutest sound I have ever heard. Because he is laughing I am laughing and I am laughing so hard Kris thinks I am a geek and he is laughing too. So we continued on for a few minutes chasing the dog around the house all laughing. It was tons of fun!

Camera Down

So the ever so thoughtful mom I am.....
Cooper loves to sit on my lap and watch me while I mess around on the computer. On Tuesday we were doing our usual checking of email, updating blog and checking up on my myspace. While I was deep in to reading he sneakily grabbed the cord to the digital camera and pulled. Before I even knew what happend a nice thud and the camera hit the deck. Unfortunately our 1 year warranty was up a few months ago. So needless to say it would cause $240 to fix it or $200 for the newer/ nicer version of our camera. Huge bummer!!!
So when I can talk Kris into buying another camera I will be posting pictures. Until then its all just words!
