Then there was 1

They are all sold! We just have one little boy hanging out with us for a few extra days. It has been a very fun experience and it went WAY better than I planned. We are unsure if we will let them breed again but if we do it will be about the same time next year. Here are some montages of our 5 "baby puppies" ( Cooper called them that) over the span of their 8 weeks with us.

Puppies Are HERE

A wonderful litter of 6 arrived very early Saturday morning.

I had heard Morgan panting around 12:30 am and I woke up sat there for 5 min but didn't hear anymore heavy panting so I didn't think much of it. It was at 1:15 when I heard the weirdest high pitch squeaking that I FLEW out bed and ran into the office. Sure enough Morgan met me at the door and in her "nesting bed" (plastic swimming pool) there was a tiny puppy. I was so pround of Morgan for not needing any assistance. She did it all! There were just a couple of puppies that we needed to tie off the umbilical cords and cut.

Heath Cleft was the last puppy born. He also has a cleft palette hence the name. I its very sad to know that he won't have a very good quality of life and vets wont do surgery to fix it. So we will most likely have to put him down. It really really makes me sad :,(

But overall this was a very successful litter. Morgan is a wonderful mother. Its a great Mothers day present for me as well!

Puppies~ Update

I took Morgan in this afternoon to get X-Rays; so we can see how many puppies she is expecting. Excuse me was my first thought. That's right 6 puppies for sure; possibly 7! OMG that is a bunch of pups for her first litter. I wish I could have had them print out the x-ray so I could scan it in and show everyone. Its actually kinda creepy looking, but also precious. There were 6 kiny skulls, but at one angle it looked like there might be 7. I am so excited! I just pray they will all be healthy & spunky puppies.

We are selling the puppies for $700 for right now. I have already got one puppy on hold for a buyer.

I was able to get belly pics today. I thinks its because she is getting huge she isn't as nimble as she once was.

Morgan and Optimus are expecting their 1st litter of pups around May 12th! I am so excited and nervous. I have never whelped a litter before or even seen it done. But after talking to many people who have I am confident that I will be able to assit if Morgan needs me.

I have been trying to take progress pictures of her cute belly, but I think she thinks I am trying to steal her soul or something. Every picture I take she looks like I just hit her or she is in her kennell trying to hide. Its making me laugh but I really just want to share.

Curliocks

I have fought with my naturally curly hair ever since I took over styling it by myself. In high school I used to go through 2 bottles of mousse and 2 bottles of hairspray a week! It was always a frizzy mess by the end of the day. Getting hair cuts is traumatizing! Its called "Curly Girl" and its my new bible. Before I read this book my hair was dry and frizzy. I have used so many products that preach how to get rid of frizz and none of them worked. Come to find out shampoo is the culpret! It was designed to get the gunk out of your hair but it also strips all the essential oils out of your hair as well. No matter how much conditioner you use shampoo has already done the damage. So I challenge any one who has naturally curly or wavy hair to read this book. Try it and tell me what you think.
